In addition to the Two Bays Walking Track, Best of the Two Bays Walk, and Pick of the Two Bays Walk, we recommend other packaged walks provided by Mornington Peninsula Guided Walks. These include (but are not limited to):
Coastal Walks in Mornington Peninsula – Bass Strait beaches
Kms – totally discretionary.
Choose where to and how far you want to walk along the beautifully rugged and exposed beaches of this Mornington Peninsula coastal walk.
From Portsea or Rye or St Andrews Beach or Gunnamatta or Fingal through to Cape Schanck, alternating between dunes, cliff tops (including lookouts) and the beach, this stretch of coastline is majestic and, with a strong sea breeze, totally invigorating. Test your fitness if you wish by traversing Jacobs Steps above Fingal beach.
Tidal conditions are important here so your guide will check these prior to confirming the walk date and time.
Morning Tea and/or lunch will be provided based upon the length of walk chosen.
Red Hill to Merricks Trail Walk
6.5kms one way or 13kms return
Follow, in part, the former railway track to Red Hill as this predominantly gradual downhill walk provides beautiful views of vineyards and farms across rolling hills and valleys, and across Westernport Bay to Phillip Island.
For those on return walks, Morning or Afternoon Tea is provided at the unique Merricks General Store prior to the return journey. One way walks will finish along Merricks Trail with lunch and a local wine provided at Merricks General Store.
Flinders to Cape Schanck Lighthouse Walk
14.5kms (approx.) one way
A fantastic walk, undulating with a few uphill sections to challenge, the beautiful coastal Cape Schanck walk will take you to the Flinders blowhole, on to Tea Tree Creek and along cliff tops offering spectacular views of Bass Strait. The walk eventually merges with the Bushrangers Bay to Cape Schanck walk (part of the Two Bays Track) for the final few kilometres to the lighthouse.
Morning Tea and a lunch of gourmet sandwiches, fruits and cheeses provided.
